United States Chess Federation - The official web site of the USCF, the sanctioning body for over the board tournament play in the United States. With over 90,000 members, they offer something for every player, from beginner to Grandmaster! In addition to rating tournaments, the USCF supports and promotes chess activities throughout the USA. They also publish two national magazines, Chess Life and Schoolmates (for scholastic, new, and novice players). North Dakota Chess Association - The official web site of the NDCA. Dedicated to chess and education, the NDCA is the official state affiliate to the USCF, responsible for organizing the state championship chess tournaments for both scholastic and open fields.

Minnesota School Chess Association - The School Chess Association is dedicated to providing chess activities for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. The SCA runs only non-elimination tournaments. They believe that all students should have the greatest opportunity to play chess and that no one should be eliminated from a tournament. Their web site is devoted to providing information about the SCA and other chess activities.
